Avocado es muy bueno

So, how ya been? Sorry we haven't posted the past few weeks. We will give a full B update soon, but for now we had to share Brooklyn getting her first taste of solid food. Kelly decided that avocado, also known as palta or aguacate to you Wikipedia aficionados, would be the optimal first bit of green sloppy goodness to feed our daughter. And she was correct! B loved it. By the time we got it on video, B was getting a bit full but you still get the idea....

This next video is three weeks old but absolutely hilarious. Auntie Di came over one night and made this high-pitched raspberry sound that drove Brooklyn absolutely bonkers with excitement. How did we know she liked said raspberry sound? Watch the legs, my friends. The frantic, frantic chubby legs.

One Home Many Hopes

A while back our good friend thomas told us about this amazing ministry he was involved in in kenya. over the past few years thomas has been raising awareness/money for these sweet girls, and OHMH has developed into a fully sustainable home that houses over 30 girls.

after seeing with my own eyes, the challenging life of orphaned children in africa, i have become very passionate about supporting, praying for, raising awareness, and giving to these precious children. just reading about these girls and seeing their beautiful faces in pictures makes me believe even more that God is a God of love and of hope.

our family has been overwhelmingly blessed by all of you through your prayers, support, love, and, encouragement. we know first hand that the power of prayer works, and that a strong community can help transform a seemingly hopeless situation into one of strength and hope. our hope is for these girls to experience the love of God through their community. thank you for reading about these girls. www.onehomemanyhopes.org

6 months.

our sweet little girl turns 6 months old (non adjusted) today. and what an UNBELIEVABLE 6 months it has been. our lives have been turned upside down, sideways, and inside out, and we could not be more thankful. over the past 6 months brooklyn, among other things, has been a true example of what it means to be determined, how to stay strong when things are challenging, and how to enjoy the little things. she is our joy, our love, our heaven. happy 6 month birthday baby girl. may you be blessed with many many more months of exploration, joy, and peace.
