brooklyn's FIRST christmas!!!

this girl is getting so expressive! we had an absolute blast on christmas, and she LOVED being in the middle of wrapping paper, ribbons, and tissue paper. SO FUN!

it's like she's saying "i'll get you for this one day, mother"

b's favorite gift thus far - a blanket. sigh.

Gourmet Baby Tofu - bon apetit!

So Brooklyn has decided that she no longer likes her pureed food and wants everything mommy and daddy has. Well, you better be careful what you ask for, kid, 'cuz yer gettin' tofu! Kelly and I do indeed like tofu when it is cooked in some amazing Stonewall Kitchen sauce. Well, Brooklyn only deserves the best, so we cooked up some tofu in a bit of olive oil and a bit of apricots and apple baby food....because why the heck not!

brooklyn's first snow!

new feeding tube

six months have gone by since our little girl had her feeding tube put in. brooklyn has come such a long way since then! she now eats EVERYTHING orally, and only receives tube feedings overnight to help her get all of her required fluids. like her mama, she doesn't like the taste of milk and would prefer anything else! because of this, and to get her through her first winter sick season successfully, she had a different tube inserted into her belly yesterday. this is a smaller tube, and one that doesn't stick out as much - yay! we call it her big girl tube, and are hopeful that she will be tube free in the spring!

We visited some friends in Marblehead this weekend and we were so lucky to be there that day because SANTA CLAUS came to their house!!! What are the chances?



Brooklyn also helped us pick her first Christmas tree! She did an excellent job. She also opted to stay with the tree during the ride home:

the girls had a little play date last night. we might have to steal riely and have her come live with us because she is the second cutest baby EVER. riley tried to teach brooklyn how to use her inside voice, but as you will see, brooklyn would have none of it!
